WATER CONSERVATION COST-SHARE PROGRAMS

EISIP

Westlands Water District continues to offer the Expanded Irrigation System Improvement Program(EISIP) to District water users and landowners. This program offers low interest rates to water users for the lease-purchase of irrigation system equipment funded by State Revolving Fund loans. The EISIP offers the opportunity to lease portable aluminum irrigation equipment and other improved irrigation systems, including but not limited to microirrigation, linear move and center pivots, and tailwater reuse systems.

Agricultural Pumping Efficiency Program

Pump efficiency tests can be available at no cost. The Program is available to all agricultural electric and natural gas utility accounts that are used for pumping water and paying the Public Goods Charge (normally customers of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, Southern California Gas Company, or San Diego Gas and Electric Company). For complete details, please check the program web site at http://www.pumpefficiency.org .

SLDMWA Mobile Lab Services Program

Westlands water users, as a member of the San Luis Delta Mendota Water Authority, are eligible to participate in a 50% cost-share for field irrigation system evaluations.  The cost is $850 per evaluation, with the water user responsible for 50% of the cost, or $425.  For pump efficiency test see the Agricultural Pumping Efficiency Program, above.  To apply for the cost-share, contact Jerry Robb at (559) 241-6237.
