The District’s Board of Directors authorized the Expanded Irrigation System Improvement Program
(EISIP). The EISIP is a low interest loan program which provides certain irrigation equipment to District
water users on a lease-to-purchase basis. Under the program, each water user will be eligible for a low
interest loan for the lease-purchase of up to $100,000 of irrigation equipment for microirrigation
systems, tailwater reuse systems, linear move and center pivot systems, and portable aluminum irrigation
equipment. The equipment will be purchased by the District from the lowest responsive bidder. The lease
period will be four years. The first of five equal principal payments will be made at the time the lessee signs
the lease, followed by four annual principal payment plus 3.1 percent interest on the outstanding
balance. This program is independent of any previous low interest loan program to purchase irrigation
equipment.  Water users who participated in that program are eligible to participate in this new program. 

       Leases must be secured by 160 acres of Area I or II land and will be recorded with the county.  Please

applicants will be added to the priority list in the order received.  Applicants will be offered an opportunity to
participate as funds are available.
